Terms of use

Version 2026-10-29. Last updated October 29, 2026.

Short version: BearCourses is a free, unofficial helper, provided as it is. It can be wrong, so check your schedule in BearWeb and with your advisor before you count on it. These terms exist so we both know where we stand, not to bury anything.

Not an official Baylor service

BearCourses is built by a student and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or run by Baylor University. "Baylor", "BearWeb" and related names belong to Baylor University. BearCourses doesn't register you for classes. You do that yourself in BearWeb.

Check before you rely on it

Course sections, times, rooms and seat counts come from Baylor's public Schedule of Classes and can change at any moment, especially during registration. A saved plan's seat check is only as fresh as the moment you press it. Walking times are estimates. BearCourses doesn't know your degree plan, prerequisites, holds or major requirements. Confirm everything in BearWeb and with your advisor. You're responsible for the classes you register for.

Professor reviews

Ratings, grades and reviews come from BUBooks and are the opinions of the students who wrote them. BearCourses shows them as they are and doesn't vouch for them.

Use it fairly

It may not be here forever

BearCourses is free and run by one person, not a company. It may go down, change, or be shut down at any point without notice, and there's no uptime guarantee in the meantime. If it shuts down, saved plans go with it, so keep your CRNs somewhere of your own too. Copy CRNs exists partly for that.

Accounts

Accounts are optional. Signing in is where you agree to these terms and the privacy policy, and your account records which version you agreed to and when. If these terms change in substance, you'll be asked again the next time you sign in. The plans you save stay yours: we don't claim them and don't use them for anything but showing them back to you.

You can delete your account whenever you like, from the account box. It takes effect immediately and every saved plan goes with it. That's also the answer if you don't agree with any of this: there's nothing to negotiate, you just leave. We may suspend an account that's used to attack or abuse the service.

No warranty

BearCourses is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, BearCourses and its maker aren't liable for any loss that comes from using it, including a missed class, a full section or a registration mistake.

Changes

These terms may change. The new version will be posted here with a new date.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
